Our Senior Consultant, Dennis Kallina, talks about his transition from IT consulting to HÖVELER HOLZMANN

Why did you decide to join HÖVELER HOLZMANN and therefore, a consulting firm?

After gaining experience in an industrial company as well as in IT consulting in recent years, I was looking for a new challenge in supply chain management. I wanted to gain new experience in a specialized consultancy and be surrounded by people who share the same passion for supply chain management.

In addition, I realized right at the beginning of the application process, that besides the technical expertise, team spirit and cohesion play a key role at HÖVELER HOLZMANN.

What has been your biggest challenge thus far?

Every day offers a new challenge. The biggest one, however, was the range of new impressions after joining HÖVELER HOLZMANN. I was directly assigned to a customer project and had to familiarize myself with new topics and tasks. However, thanks to the great support from the entire team, I settled in very quickly.

What do you value most at HÖVELER HOLZMANN?

What I value most is our team – both professionally and personally.  We enjoy working together and acting in concert to work out the best solutions for our customers. All of them have a great deal of know-how, which means we can support and learn from one another.

Why did you leave your previous job and joined HÖVELER HOLZMANN?

In my previous employment as SAP Consultant, I was able to enhance my understanding of IT processes enormously. However, I came to a point where I also wanted to gain insight into the underlying operating processes from a business perspective. Challenging and exciting projects at HÖVELER HOLZMANN offer a great opportunity to gain the experience I was looking for. From day one, I have been learning a lot of things on a daily basis.
