Best of Consulting 2018: HÖVELER HOLZMANN CONSULTING takes 1st place in the supply chain management category
Düsseldorf, 11/21/2018: The WirtschaftsWoche awarded the Düsseldorf-based management consulting firm with the seal of ″Best of Consulting″ for the fourth time in a row. In the category of supply chain management, the jury and scientific advisory committee honored the project with Deutsche Bahn AG for outstanding consulting services. ″HÖVELER HOLZMANN created an exceptional mentality of implementation,″ says Dr. Torsten Latz, Head of Deutsche Bahn AG’s Infrastructure Procurement.
As an international provider of mobility and logistics services, the Group has its footprint in more than 130 countries. The joint project aimed at optimizing processes on a sustainable basis through industrialization and digitalization of the procurement department (IDEa).
Following the project duration of about six months, the result was that work efficiency for the recording of change orders swung up by a substantial double-digit percentage, and throughput time of change orders was also reduced by a considerable double-digit percentage.
140 buyers from seven regions benefit from process optimization and digitalization through IDEa. ″For one thing, we have standardized the processes and enabled the employees to become more strongly specialized.
