Dr. Bernhard Höveler,
Managing Partner

Dr. Bernhard Höveler has dedicated over two decades to the field of procurement optimization. He specialized in this area during his business administration studies at the University of Cologne, further cementing his expertise with a doctoral degree on a procurement topic from the same institution, as well as the University of Nebraska, USA. His dissertation was recognized with the Science Prize by the Federal Association for Materials Management, Procurement, and Logistics (→ BME e.V.). Prior to establishing HÖVELER HOLZMANN, Dr. Höveler lent his expertise to a procurement consultancy as Managing Partner and led projects focused on procurement optimization at A.T. Kearney.

Daniel Belka,
Managing Partner

Daniel Belka serves as a Managing Partner at HÖVELER HOLZMANN, where he empowers retail and consumer goods companies with his expertise in holistic profit improvement and transformation programs. His specialty lies in optimizing supply chain and procurement organizations. He holds a degree in international business administration from the University of Applied Sciences Münster, along with another degree from the University TEC de Monterrey in Mexico. Prior to his tenure at HÖVELER HOLZMANN, he held the position of Head of Procurement at METRO Group and worked in the realms of supply chain management and procurement at both REWE Group and Lidl. His years of experience across various retail formats and the consumer goods industry now inform his consulting projects. Mr. Belka is married and a father of two.

Jan Laakmann,
Partner & COO

Jan Laakmann is Partner and Chief Operating Officer at HÖVELER HOLZMANN. With more than ten years of international consulting experience in a wide range of industries, he manages procurement and supply chain projects as well as sustainability initiatives for leading companies in the chemical, aviation, and transportation industries, numerous retail sectors (fashion, food and non-food, luxury goods, travel), FMCG, and private equity. He gives our clients specialist advice in sustainable supply chain management and procurement, strategy development, procurement transformation, and in the context of cost optimization programs.

Jürgen Theves,
Principal

Jürgen Theves transitioned to HÖVELER HOLZMANN in 2018 from Kiekert AG, bringing with him a wealth of expertise in procurement processes and commodity optimization within the automotive industry. He pursued his studies in industrial engineering at the Technical University of Ilmenau and the University of Utah. His diploma thesis, which focused on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and 5S methodologies, was undertaken at Mahle AG in Spain. In his role as the Director of Global Commodities at Kiekert AG, he held responsibility for global direct and indirect procurement, following a successful tenure managing a procurement department in China. His professional background also includes key procurement roles at Keiper Recaro and Yazaki International, underlining his extensive international experience in the automotive sector.
